While driving on a short, 5-day holiday, I noticed on the first day that the red injection lamp was lit. I did not notice any power loss, nor any increase in fuel consumption. The light remained constantly lit on the first day. 2nd day, occasionally the light went off, then on again. 3rd, 4th and 5th day the light went off after some minutes of

Points. 292. Aug 16, 2016. #2. Pulley doesn't need to come off, in fact it would be nigh on impossible to take if off in situ as you need to hold the pulley. Belt should stay put when you withdraw the I wold mark the belt on the cam and crank pulleys to be on the safe side. OP.
2005 DUCATO 2.8 JTD - Cuts out when idling worse when cold.. Connected icarsoft scanner and no fault codes showing. But i did notice the following data ECT = 215 DEG. IAT = 215 DEG. MAP = 255. All the above seem to be max temperatures, also they dont change when engine gets warm. i understand the MAP and IAT are on the same dual sensor
I have a 2004 Benimar Motorhome on a fiat ducato chassis with a 2.8jtd. A month or two ago while driving, the red engine light came on. It happened while accelerating with rpm rising above 3000-3200 and there was a loss of power. However, when the revs are back below 3000, after changing up a gear, the light goes out and engine is fine. Cruising at high speed with the aerodynamics of a brick is not good for fuel consumption either of course. Cruising at 50 or 60 is tedious but can make a huge difference. My converted Ducato 2.8 motorhome gets easily over 30mpg at "not hanging around" speeds although still in panel-van format.
The 2.8 idti engine is a damn good engine in stock form. Pretty much bomb proof with no electrical problems like the JTD. I had the idti in a Hymer 754 tag axle that also towed a trailer or towcar constantly. If it was me I would leave well alone and enjoy reasonable fuel consumption and reliability that was built in by the manufacturer.

Stored code is P0235 supercharger. As on my original post, the warning light only seems to come on when above 3200rpm in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear. If you change gear and accelerate while light is on, it seems as though it goes into limp home mode. As soon as rpm's drop below 3200rpm, the light goes out and normal driving resumes.

Fiat’s 2.3-litre JTD common rail diesel gives the new Ducato quieter, cleaner and more fuel-efficient performance than the old 2.8 diesel. greater refinement and fuel consumption reduced by 16%.
I've just calculated my fuel consumption for a Fiat 2.0 JTD engine pulling a 2.1/2 ton Motorhome, Mclouis Lagan 410 and I’m getting 23.8 MPG. This is based on motorway driving conditions with an average speed of 60 MPH and the rev counter around 2500 revs. I could easily increase my speed but I’m certain my fuel economy would suffer badly.

Stanner. They are completely different engines the 2.0/2.2 is the Peugeot/Citroen Hdi (PSA EW/DW) engine even if it is in a Fiat and badged as a JTD. It is the same as fitted to Fiat Ullysee/Citroen C8/Peugeot 807 MPV and the respective Scudo/Dispatch/Expert vans. The 2.3/2.8 is a Fiat commercial engine (actually an Iveco unit).
189. Dec 31, 2011. #2. Hi. Don’t know if this will help, if you have access to a smart phone you can download a free app called torque, this will measure your boost pressure among many other things and will also read fault codes and reset the engine management light. The only thing you need to buy is a Bluetooth connector for the diagnostic Page 239 CREW CAB TRUCK WEIGHTS MAXI MAXI MAXI Weights (kg) 2.3 JTD 2.8 JTD 2.3 JTD 2.8 JTD 2.8 JTD POWER Kerb weight (including fuel, spare wheel, tools and accessories): 1990 ÷ 2055 2015 ÷ 2080 1950 2040 ÷ 2105 2065 ÷ 2130 Payload including driver (1): 970 ÷ .
